The AAA Matrix 40 Watt Pod Vape Kit is a square pod-style AIO with an 1100mAh battery, a small OLED screen and up to 40W. It suits vapers moving up from a basic starter pod who want more control without a full mod and tank. It is Rs 3,999 at Best Vape Mart, on sale from the regular Rs 9,000.

What it is like to use

The Matrix sits between a simple pod and an all-in-one mod. You get three firing modes: variable wattage, variable voltage and temperature control, set from 1 to 40W. A 0.69 inch OLED screen shows your settings. The side panels are resin-printed, so each one looks a little different.

Two coils come in the box, one for each style. The 1.2 ohm ceramic coil runs at 9 to 12W for a tight mouth-to-lung draw, close to a cigarette. The 0.5 ohm mesh coil runs at 22 to 28W for direct lung vaping with more vapour.

Which coil and e-liquid to use

With the 1.2 ohm ceramic coil, use nicotine salt e-liquid at low wattage. With the 0.5 ohm mesh coil at 22W and above, switch to freebase at 3mg or 6mg. Salts at that power feel harsh. Our vape coil guide explains the difference.
