Which Matrix coil to pick

The Matrix range covers both styles of vaping, so the coil you choose decides how the kit feels.

• 1.2ohm dual coil (9 to 12W): a tighter, mouth-to-lung draw. This is the one to use with nicotine salt.
• 0.3ohm mesh coil (22 to 28W): a looser, direct-to-lung draw with more vapour.
• 0.15ohm mesh coil: the lowest resistance in the range, for direct-to-lung vaping at higher power.
• RBA deck: lets you build and wick your own coil instead of buying ready-made heads.

Using the coil day to day

With a new coil, fill the pod and wait about 5 minutes before the first puff so the cotton soaks through. Start at the low end of the wattage range printed above and step up slowly. A dry first hit can burn the cotton and ruin a fresh coil in seconds.

Match the liquid to the coil. Nicotine salts belong in the 1.2ohm coil at low wattage. For the 0.3ohm and 0.15ohm mesh coils, use freebase e-liquid at 3mg or 6mg. High strength salts in a sub-ohm coil feel harsh.
