Geekvape B Series Replacement Coils

The Geekvape B Series Replacement Coils are KA1 Kanthal coil heads for the Aegis Boost range and several other Geekvape kits, in stock from Rs 749. You can choose 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 or 0.6 Ohm, as a single coil or a pack of 5. They suit Aegis Boost, Hero, Mini 2 and Z Nano owners who want the right coil for the way they vape.

Pick the right resistance

Each resistance is built for a different style. The three lower ones are DTL (direct to lung), where you pull vapour straight into your lungs. The 0.6 Ohm is MTL (mouth to lung), a tighter draw like a cigarette.

• 0.2 Ohm: DTL, 50W to 58W. The most vapour of the set.
• 0.3 Ohm: DTL, 30W to 38W.
• 0.4 Ohm: DTL, 25W to 33W. A lighter DTL vape.
• 0.6 Ohm: MTL, 15W to 25W.

Which e-liquid with which coil

Geekvape’s advice is to use high VG liquid (70% VG or more) with the DTL coils, so the 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 Ohm. With the 0.6 Ohm MTL coil, use 50/50 freebase or nicotine salt. Keep salts away from the low resistance DTL coils. At those power levels a salt is far too strong, so use freebase at 3mg or 6mg there.

Tips for longer coil life

• Prime every new coil. Drip a little liquid on the cotton, fit it, fill up and wait about 5 minutes.
• Start at the bottom of the power range and go up slowly.
• Do not let the tank or pod run dry.
