Freemax Maxpod Replacement Coils

Freemax MAXPOD Replacement Coils are NS mesh coils for the FreeMax MAXPOD, in 1.0ohm or 1.5ohm. They are for MAXPOD owners whose flavour has gone flat or burnt and who just need a fresh coil. Price: from Rs 450, sold as a single or a pack of 2.

The two resistances

Both are NS mesh coils from Freemax’s SaltCoilTech 2.0 series, which, as the name says, is aimed at salt nicotine. The 1.5ohm is the higher resistance. It gives a tighter, cooler mouth-to-lung draw and uses liquid slowly. The 1.0ohm is a little warmer and gives a touch more vapour. If you vape strong salts, the 1.5ohm will feel smoother on the throat. If the flavour on the 1.5ohm feels a bit muted to you, try the 1.0ohm. A single is fine for testing the other resistance. If you vape every day, the pack of 2 keeps a spare ready.

Fitting and priming

The coil presses in, so there is nothing to screw. Before you fit it, drip a few drops of e-liquid into the top and onto the cotton through the side holes. Fit it, fill the pod and wait about 5 minutes. Then take a few gentle puffs before vaping normally. Skipping this is the most common reason a new coil tastes burnt on day one.
