The Uwell Caliburn G2 Replacement Coils are Uwell UN2 Meshed-H coils for the Caliburn G2. They come in 1.2ohm and 0.8ohm, so you can choose a tight mouth-to-lung draw or a looser restricted direct-lung draw. One coil costs Rs 850 at Best Vape Mart.

1.2ohm or 0.8ohm: which to pick

The 1.2ohm coil is the MTL option. The draw is tighter and the vapour is cooler and smaller. It suits nicotine salt e-liquid and people who are moving off cigarettes.

The 0.8ohm coil gives a restricted direct-lung (RDL) vape. It feels a bit warmer and makes more vapour, while still working well with nicotine salts at the low power a pod kit runs at.

If you are not sure, start with the 1.2ohm. You can always try the 0.8ohm next time.

Fitting and first use

Take the old coil out of the pod and fit the new one. Before you fill, drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the cotton through the holes in the coil. Fill the pod and wait 5 minutes before the first puff. A dry hit on new cotton burns it, and a burnt coil cannot be saved.

How long a coil lasts
